Idea development - word consumer

consumer - a person who purchases goods and services for personal use. or a person or thing that eats or uses something.

consumerism - the protection or promotion of the interests of consumers or the preoccupation of society with the acquisition of consumer goods.

Inspiration - 
consumerism - it's a short animation that shows an exaggerated form of how consumerism can affect us it's displayed through how a new smartphones are released months after one another and are nearly identical but we still buy the "upgraded" version.

MAN -  Is a short animation on how the every expanding consumer market effects are environment to keep up with growing demand  

The Brutal Truth About Today’s World - it's a short montage of cartoon illustrations that reflects the negative effects of modern consumerism and how we've become reliant on it in our lives. 

Idea - I want to portray how the growing damned of consumer society affects our planet.

how will I portray this? 

Idea 1 - I will create a 1-minute montage mixing brand advertisement and moving into clips of pollution and tip sites and illustrations like the ones used in "The Truth About Today’s World".

pros - Easy to plan and create and works with the time limitations of this project while still portraying a meaningful message.

cons - Isn't very creative or outgoing and not very challenging.

Idea 2 - I will create a short animation showing the cycle of buying then trading in for the new model of smartphones.

pros - challenging and creative and portrays a strong message

cons- time consuming and might be too over ambitious to create within the time we are given.
